We’re James B. (Jamie) Hale and Brittany (A.) Borghi, two nimble-fingered, newly graduated journalistos from the University of Maryland. The breakdown goes like this: Jamie takes the photos, Brittany does the vids, we both provide the good looks.
For some unknown masochistic reason, we’ve decided to camp in a tent for two weeks on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in Pine Ridge, SD. We’ve never really camped before, we really like air conditioning and try not to go three days without milkshakes. Saying this is “out of our comfort zones” would be an under(pants)statement.
“Why???” you may be asking. For one simple reason: to capture the lives and stories of the Native Americans living on the rez, beautifully, compellingly and completely enough to arrange as a multimedia documentary presentation.
We hope you enjoy this blog as much as we hate snakes. In our tent. Please feel free to send us monies and/or ask for our finished project to view and put on your news websites.
